Will i be able to help in my cat's declawing procedure?

i am getting my cat declawed. will i be able to assist during the procedure? i mean, i want to put on the surgeon outfit and go in there and do whatever the vet tells me, like "give me that tool" or "cut that claw off". can i do that? i take a hands-on approach to stuff and this should be no exception. i also want to make sure those damn claws are certainly gone after all the damage they did to my beautiful leather sofa lol

Be prepared for a cat that is in a lot of pain after the surgery for several days. Years ago before I knew better I had mine declawed and the last one never did walk right. It was always like her feet hurt her. After I had half my big toe joint taken out, I understood why.

I've never had it done to a cat again. My cat now, yes, she claws stuff. I just clip her nails with a toenail clipper often and let her 'claw away'. And we have scratching stuff all over for her to use.

you could also opt for those tips that they put on the cats claws also instead of the surgery. Again, be prepared for a cat with sore feet.
